Swan Medusa

In this project, we wanted to explore the hybrid of nature and the artificial. The artwork also shares references to Greek mythology and traditional art such as baroque and Renaissance paintings and portraits. But at the same time, they clearly have a contemporary, or even futuristic, visual style.

In classical Greek mythology, Medusa was one of the three sisters, and she has been described both as beautiful and monstrous. She was powerful, with the power to transform anyone she looked at to stone. But in the end Medusa was killed and beheaded. Both Medusa and the myth about her are contradictive, and this is what makes it so interesting to explore.

We have transformed the image of Medusa, the beauty and monster, the old mythology blended with modern technology and aesthetics. The snakes in our pictures are a rare hybrid of albino snakes and swans.
