For humans, the saying goes, "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world."
Now it must evolve for the new beings we are creating.
I'm sure it will be both, as universal law always yields polar opposites. (and a few in between)

This is from my second run on defining this existential concept. I'm sure I can be more elaborate and deep later,
so I'll continue this project.
