About Me

Hello! My name is Dahui, and Iโ€™m from South Korea.
I used to paint when I was younger and loved expressing myself through art, but I ended up studying electronic engineering instead. During my first year of college, I randomly bought a used camera and started taking photos of my friends and that moment changed everything for me. I realized how much I loved creating images and decided to follow that passion seriously.
Since then, Iโ€™ve worked at fashion studios and galleries in Seoul, learning how art and technology can meet in exciting ways. I eventually left university to focus fully on photography and applied to ECAL in Switzerland, where Iโ€™m now studying photography as the first Korean student in the program.
At ECAL, Iโ€™ve learned to see photography not just as pictures but as a language, something that can express ideas, space, and emotion. I love exploring different media like installation, video, CGI, and design, combining art and tech to build new visual experiences.
In the future, I want to create a studio between Seoul and Paris, working with creative people on fresh, experimental projects. Art gave me a new start, and Iโ€™m always grateful to keep imagining, experimenting, and sharing my vision through my work.
