My interest in AI-generated art stems from two complementary perspectives: as a computer scientist fascinated by hybrid intelligence systems that integrate human and machine, and as a practitioner actively experimenting with the very systems I theorize. This dual passion has culminated in my forthcoming book, "Centaur Art: The Future of Art in the Age of Generative AI" https://link.springer.com/book/9783031690624 . In this book, I not only explore the theoretical underpinnings of hybrid intelligence but also conduct and document a series of experiments, where these two vocations converge.
What particularly excites me is using AI tools to explore creative territories that go beyond the traditional relationship between human creator and created work. For instance, I am intrigued by translating linguistic and mathematical paradoxes into visual forms, converting sensory experiences—like smell, taste, and touch—into visual sensations, and blending vastly different styles and artistic imaginations, such as merging cyberpunk with classical art or fusing gothic elements with abstract designs.
In this journey, I strive to push the boundaries of what is possible with AI in art, exploring new frontiers where technology and creativity meet in unexpected and inspiring ways.
