“All the Hidden Quanta – Postcard from …”

The “All the Hidden Quanta – Postcard from …” series using the Processing.org and/or p5.js coding language visual arts programming interface. Most “postcards” are created by:

* collecting real-time OR time-lapse video of a location

* converting the video to individual frames using a program such as Sony Vegas Video

* running the frames through the processing.org OR p5.js code so that each frame is loaded and compared with its previous frame. Where differences in pixel values occur an effect is overlaid on each pixel. This might be a box, a pixel asterix, a blur, a shape, an expansion, a stretching, a morphing or so on…. Each new pixel is used to construct a new frame which is then output and saved.

* the new coded/altered/generated frames are then constructed in sequence in Vegas Video or similar which is further edited/manuipulated/added to, with text overlays, etc. to create a new video – the “postcard”

It explores the concept that we are surrounded by the unseen (unacknowledged? unrealised?), constantly in flux world of quanta.
