"Out!" Bill cried.
They recoiled as the sky scorched them white. The Earth, engulfed in flames, grew wildly, double, quadrupled. The fire silently drove away the darkness. Like a gigantic red-green blaze. Upturned faces on the hills, in the windows of houses, on the roofs, in the valleys, on the river banks, and the long canals, and the dead seas.
