Canto 1 – Dante Reloaded opens the poetic cycle with a descent into confusion — a digital forest of lost signals, fractured identity, and algorithmic noise. Inspired by the original canto’s “dark wood,” this contemporary vision explores the disorientation of modern consciousness, where truth is filtered through feeds and meaning is mediated by machines.
The protagonist awakens in a landscape shaped by data and desire, haunted by avatars of fear, distraction, and control. The path forward is obscured by seductive interfaces and ideological fog. This is not just a place, but a condition — a poetic rendering of the moment before clarity, before descent, before resistance.
The video blends AI-generated visuals with tactile rhythm from handpan and drumkit, layered with Giovanni’s voice and verse. Edited in DaVinci Resolve, each frame pulses with lyrical tension and digital distortion, inviting viewers to confront the forest within.
Canto 1 sets the tone for the Dante Reloaded series: a journey through contemporary sin, spiritual capitalism, and poetic resistance.

His work spans social critique, philosophical inquiry, and lyrical experimentation, often exploring themes of identity, technology, and transformation. He performs and records with drumkit and handpans, integrating tactile rhythm and acoustic nuance into his digital compositions. While recent pieces reimagine Dante and Trilussa, his broader portfolio includes original poetic works crafted for expressive multimedia storytelling. Giovanni edits each piece by hand, shaping rhythm, tone, and visual flow to reflect his poetic mission and tactile sensibility.
