I was always attracted to art, but I thought I couldn't be an artist because I can't draw well. I became a writer instead. At age 50 I discovered that what I WAS good at was combining images to make new and different ones: in other words, collage. At first I did "pasteup" collages, which I still enjoy, but around 2000 I taught myself how to use Photoshop and moved into the digital world. Last year--the year of my 80th birthday!--I began using AI art programs heavily. I love them, especially Midjourney. I love to explore/create magical worlds of all kinds, including exoplanets and strange alien life forms.
